IAVI is an international, not-for-profit, Product Development Partnership (PDP) working across sectors to effectively leverage a collaborative model to develop HIV vaccines while furthering broader HIV and biomedical technology prevention efforts, and public health goals. In India, the organisation performs population-based studies in collaboration with the Department of Science and Technology and Department of Biotechnology, Government of India

The Approach yielded successful outcomes:
•To highlight the latest success, as a direct outcome, the Government collaborated with IAVI as a partner to organise India Africa Health Sciences Meet 2016. Moreover, the success of the event has led the government to propose this event on annual basis for South-South collaboration in Bio-medical Sciences Research and Development
•Besides, created greater awareness among general public & other stakeholders about the need for HIV vaccine
•Established IAVI as a leading non-governmental organization in the field of HIV vaccine development and other biomedical research areas
•Noteworthy – All of this was achieved through Public /Media Relations, as the company had undertaken no Ad campaigns or any other paid-for initiatives in the media.
